Description
Orgeat is an opaque white syrup made from almonds, sugar and flavoured water. The name comes from the Latin ‘hordeata’, literally: ‘made with barley’, since it was originally produced only with a mixture of barley and almonds. It is an energizing drink that can be consumed alone, with water or milk, or used to prepare tasty ice lollies.
